2006 Domaine de
Soleiller Rouge, Vin de Pays de l'Herault Garnet
coloured carignan & grenache fruit with typical Languedoc chirpiness -
fruity, supple and quaffable with gentle, rounded tannins. |
£9.25/bottle

2004 Mas de Longchamps, Vin de
Pays des Bouches du Rhône Quaffable, cheerful wine
with mellow fruits and rounded tannins. Not at all complicated, just sheer
drinking pleasure!
£10.50/bottle

2008 Monty's Red, Vin de Pays des Côtes
Catalanes Monty's second vintage of red is made from old
vine Carignan, with 5% Syrah and a touch of Grenache and Maccabeu, all of which
were all harvested together. A wine of true character. |
£12.99/bottle

2004 Cahors Solis, Mathieu Cosse Surprisingly structured for an unoaked wine: dark, brooding and full
of plum and wild berry flavours. Drink with chunky stews. |
£14.20/bottle

2004 Mas de Gourgonnier, Les Baux de
Provence Appetising aromas of Provençal herbs
(bay leaves; thyme); generous black cherry and raspberry flavours. Mas de
Gourgonnier is a star of Les Baux de Provence, a sleepy little appellation
south of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. An excellent wine to challenge the finest
from Rhône and Bordeaux.
