Serpaiolo IGT, Rosso di Toscano, Serpaia
Subjects of the
Austro-Hungarian empire, the Endrici (Endrizzi in local dialect) family arrived
in northern Italy in 1885 and established a formidable estate at the foot of
the Dolomites. More recently, the Endrizzis descended from lofty Trentino to
purchase Tuscan estate Serpaia. Application of biodynamic techniques has
resulted in impressive wines like this.
Tasting Note Made from
a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot, this is a biodynamic wine of superb
quality and character. Fantastic 'junior' super-Tuscan, the only thing 'junior'
