2007 Leah
Pinot Noir, Seresin
Seresin Estate, consisting of nearly
seventy hectares of vines intermingled with olive groves, was founded in 1992.
The proprietor, Michael Seresin is also an extremely successful cinematographer
and together with winemaker Brian Bicknell, Seresin Estate has become one of
the best and most highly regarded wineries in New Zealand.
Organically
grown and hand-tended, the grapes from the estate are raised on a cornerstone
of working in harmony with nature, seeking to elicit complex flavours and
texture in the wines. In the winery, minimal intervention allows the layers of
flavour to evolve, so the wines are a natural expression of the soil from which
they come.
The image of the hand is a symbol of strength, gateway to
the heart, tiller of the soil, the mark of the artisan, and embodies the
philosophy of Seresin Estate.
Tasting Note Rich and spicy
with a warm oak and chocolate richness. Vibrant cherry fruit with a flash of
spicy citrus zest on the finish.
