Sancerre, Christian Dauney
The Dauny estate was the first
estate in the region to produce organic Sancerre. It covers some 10 hectares of
which 7 are planted with sauvignon blanc. The vines which give the grapes for
the Terres Blanches are planted on lime and chalk soils, giving wonderfully
perfumed wines.
Tasting Note
Here the sauvignon blanc exhibits
refreshingly clean, grassy grapefruit and granny smith fruit, all complemented
with just the right amount of acidity. |
