2006 Rioja
Genoli, Ijalba
Viña Ijalba was the very first
organically-certified estate in Rioja (1994). Eighty hectares of vines are
planted on abandoned opencast mines, where the thin, stony soils ensure that
yields are kept low and the quality of the fruit is high. All wines made at
Viña Ijalba are suitable for Vegetarians and Vegans.
Tasting
Note
100% Viura. The name Genoli comes from the name of the yellow
pigmentation used by painters a long time ago. Citrus and white flowers
dominate the nose and palate. Very fresh and very good! |
