Portuguese White Wines

2004 Casa de Mouraz Branco, Dao
This dry oak aged white is based on low-yielding malvasia fina teamed up with bical and cerceal. The fatness of fruit offers a stone-fruit intensity to contrast with layers of nuttiness and mineral notes.

2006 Quinta do Coa Branco, CARM, Douro
Lovely mineral nose with hints of lemon, pineapple and passion fruit. Exquisite toasty flavours from new oak, nice acidity and lingering fruit flavours. A versatile food wine.

£12.55/bottle

Portuguese Rosé Wines

2006 CARM Rosé, Douro
The Douro`s pinks don`t have the same renown as its serious red, but this is every bit as good as a top vinho tinto. Spicy and peppery with good acidity and gutsy tannins.

£10.95/bottle

2005 Casa de Mouraz Rosé, Dao
Lovely vibrant colour and good soft fruit flavours. Delicious, but with enough backbone to be enjoyed with food.

£11.45/bottle

Portuguese Red Wines

2004 CARM Classico Tinto, Douro
Made from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca, this is full of blackberry and black cherry fruit flavours with seductive flavours of liquorice rounded off with hints of toasted oak, warm spicy fruit and a silky texture. Can be laid down until 2012.

£9.50/bottle

2003 Quinta do Crasto Douro *Not Organic*
Deep, opaque red in colour with aromas of intense berry fruit with subtle oak complexity. On the palate it is rich, full and concentrated, showing great depth of fruit with well-integrated American oak, good tannic structure and a firm, dry finish. Ideal with lamb and roasted red meat dishes.

2006 Quinta do Coa Tinto, CARM, Douro
Full of aromas of ripe black fruits, blueberries and mulberries, with hints of fennel and wood spice. It tastes of black fruits, with a rich texture and complex flavours on the finish. Will keep improving until 2011.

£12.55/bottle

2002 Quinta do Crasto Reserva *Not Organic*
A big concentrated wine showing the intensity of fruit that only low yielding, old vines can produce. It has a complex aroma of ripe berry fruit and well integrated oak. Perfect accompaniment to hearty stews and roasted joints. Also excellent with game.

1999 Quinta do Crasto LBV Port - Douro *Not Organic*
This late bottled vintage shows brooding black cherry fruit with a huge cedary core. A simple wine with a fine dark colour, ripe and mouth filling and rounded off by sweet finish.
£13.85/bottle

Fonseca Terra Prima Organic Port - Douro
A wonderfully rich, concentrated wine with great flavour and texture. The opulent black fruit nose is followed through on the palate: layers of intense berry, plum and cherry fruit flavours are supported by firm, but well integrated tannins.
£16.50/bottle
