Fonseca
Terra Prima Organic Reserve Port
Fonseca's Terra Prima port
is a full bodied reserve blend made from grapes produced from organic farming
in the Cima Corgo area of the Douro Valley. The spirit used to fortify this
port was also produced from organically grown grapes.
Fonseca has over a
decade of experience in organic viticulture in the Douro Valley and was one of
the first port houses to develop and apply organic methods in its vineyards.
Aged to maturity in oak vats, Fonseca's Terra Prima expresses the
natural fruity richness of the traditional Douro Valley grape
varieties.
Tasting Note
A wonderfully rich, concentrated wine
with great flavour and texture. The opulent black fruit nose is followed
through on the palate: layers of intense berry, plum and cherry fruit flavours
are supported by firm, but well integrated tannins.
