Château Falfas, Côtes de Bourg
Château Falfas is situated on the crest of one of the most
beautiful hillsides in the parish of Bayon. Falfas have been cultivated
biodynamically since 1988 - the land is maintained, worked and cultivated
naturally, in harmony with the biology of the soil. Limited yields and rigorous
selection of rich, healthy grapes are standard elements at Falfas creating
wines that are a pure reflection of the complex soils and subsoils of its
terroir.
Tasting Note
Punchy blackberry fruits abound with
secondary notes of juniper berries. The tannins are firm and fleshy, mellowing
over time. Great structure, it is a wine made to last and while it is very good
with food now, it will improve over time.
