Champagne
Larmandier Bernier 1er Cru Brut Tradition
Lamandier-Bernier
are one of the few champagne houses to practice biodynamic viticulture and
their champagnes clearly express their respective terroirs. Pierre Larmandier
is right at the forefront of the 'terroir' movement, and his champagnes earn
rave reviews.
Pierre Larmandier became the third generation of his
family to produce Champagne when he took over in 1988, aged twenty-five, and is
regarded as one of the more exciting of Champagne's younger generations of
growers with wines as direct, firm and generous as their maker.
Tasting Note Made from low yielding biodynamic vines, the
addition of 20% Pinot Noir to Chardonnay makes this a rich champagne with
chalky minerality. With its delicate bubbles, it makes a perfect aperitif or as
an accompaniment to seafood.
