2005 Adobe
Cabernet Sauvignon, Orgánicos Emiliana
For a Chilean
winery, Emiliana Orgánicos is unusual. It is dedicated to producing
environmentally responsible wines, initially organically, but the goal is for
it to adopt biodynamics.
The man at the helm of the project, which
started in 2000, is Alvaro Espinoza. Alvaro is a true pioneer, and has been
single-handedly responsible for introducing biodynamic viticulture into South
America. Emiliana Orgánicos selected three vineyards, totalling a
substantial 240 hectares, to form the basis of this project with amazing
results.
The Adobe range offers a reliable benchmark for quality and
value. The simple, stylish packaging has instant and memorable appeal, with the
contents showing distinct and expressive character.
Tasting
Note
Ripe red fruits with cherries and dried fruits on the palate with
evidence of oak ageing. This adds complexity along with the fully ripe tannins.
An excellent value wine.
