About Us
Welcome to our
family owned company, born out of our passion for organic wine. Pageant Wines
is run by myself, Jane Christy, with my partner Thomas Schick being a Director
and supporter of organic produce. Based in Framlingham, Suffolk, the company
was set up in 2005 to enable restaurants, delis, farm shops and the home
consumer to buy quality organic and biodynamic, vegan and vegetarian wines with
ease and confidence.
I possess a wealth of
knowledge on wines from around the world, having travelled extensively to
various wine producing regions and being qualified to Wine & Spirit
Education Trust Diploma level. I have been working in the wine industry for the
past twenty years and have a passion for organic and especially biodynamic
wine, which is evident when I do tasting events and in general conversation! I
also have a passion for excellent customer service which is evident in the
running of Pageant Wines.
My partner, Thomas Schick, is more a supporter
than a worker within the company! He has his own business as a tarot reader
which means he visits festivals and fayres throughout the country to read for
the general public, and also runs local classes on how to read tarot. He is
extremely talented at reading tarot cards and one day we shall discover how
tarot and wine can work together!
We have our own biodynamic vineyard
overlooking Framlingham Castle and Mere. These 100 vines keep Tom very busy as
he learns about biodynamic methods. As we do it for pleasure, we probably won't
become certified (although we are looking into it), so don't expect to see our
wines on the Pageant Wines List!
